Download this episode (31 min)

In this first part of lesson 9, thepersonal pronouns 9ego, tu,sui) are introduced, including a review of the possessive pronouns that we looked at in the previous lesson. We also look at what the Romans did for third person personal pronouns, (ille, illa, illud) and how these were used to denote respect or contempt.
Following the grammar, some new vocabulary is introduced, the nouns ovis, navis and juvenis are shown with their inflections, and the conversation paradigms on page 31 are recited for the first time.
